I have to say that I love to travel almost as much as I love to eat! They are my two love affairs. I feel so lucky every time I step on a plane to go anywhere. Its one of those amazing opportunities to see the world and how others live. Its always a great way to get perspective on your own way of life. This past December, I was traveling the entire month. First, I went to Thailand with my brother & close friends and we went to Bangkok as well as Krabi. Words can’t do justice to the beauty I saw! Krabi is near Phuket, and where James Cameron got inspired to make the epic motion picture, Avatar. It is by far, the most amazing beach I have ever had the privilege of visiting. This picture was taken at the Amari resort where I stayed. It was beyond amazing and this picture doesn’t even capture how incredible the scenery was! Truly the wonders of the world are beyond your backyard.
After I got back from Thailand, my boyfriend and I traveled to Manila to spend the holidays with his family. That was another wonderful cultural experience that is priceless. When you travel internationally with another person, you really get to learn a lot about each other. Its a completely different journey to experience that with someone because once you leave home turf, its essentially you two against the world. Everything becomes foreign, the currency, food, language, you will leave all comforts behind. But it is the BEST adventure you can take with someone. Certainly one that will be unforgettable. The best part about traveling is that when you leave home, your senses are heightened and everything becomes interesting. The sights, sounds, smells, and flavors are truly a different experience on the other side of the world. I hope to continue this journey of marrying my two loves and sharing them with you. My ultimate dream, to travel & eat my way around the world :)
